Asia

There are many countries in Asia and I’m happy to say that I have visited and lived in a few of them. On this page, you’ll find posts that help you with solo travelling as an Introvert in Asia.

So much to see

Many cultures, Many sights

I love travelling in Asia. I’ve been to Japan, Taiwan, Thailand, and a few other countries and every time it’s a wonderful experience.

I think especially for introverts travelling solo Asian countries are perfect. Except for the odd salesperson, I’ve hardly encountered anyone who was hostile or wanted to speak to me without me initiating it.

It’s also not quite as loud as South America in my opinion, which is another benefit. However, some areas like night markets are fairly loud but if you’re prepared then it’s not as bad.

an Introverted Solo Traveller’s Dream

Especially Japan and South Korea are countries that I can only recommend to travel to as an introvert. The people there are friendly but not too friendly if you don’t want to.

They have so many options to eat alone and the locals do it too, so there is no awkwardness while travelling on your own.
